A hand-picked collection of places to stay: Authentic, Small-scale, One of a kind!
There was one thing missing in my favourite Dutch city Deventer… a nice hotel! Check! There is now a perfect Hideaway, contemporary, in a beautiful old building and bang in the middle of the city! Even now during Covid19 Lockdown a lovely escape: they serve breakfast in the room, you can play your own DJ set on the ‘old skool’ recordplayer and there is a list with favourite take-away adresses in your room. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfi and the (different type of) rooms are stylish. I can’t wait till this pandemic is over and the lively bar of this hotel (also open to non-hotel guests) is a vibrant meeting point in town! And I haven’t even mentioned the beautiful surroundings of Deventer… well, hereby!
For all your retro lovers out there… this forest house is totally a la mode! A stay in this house is a real trip down memory lane. The house is hidden in the woods and is suitable for max. 4 persons (no children under 12 and the double bed is 140×200). Don’t expect old-fashioned comfort, this house is very complete, well appointed and cosy. For the winter months there is a gas heater, coffee and tea is there to be used, your bed is made, there is a good shower and during the summer months you can enjoy the spacious forest garden to the fullest. The perfect base for long walks and bike rides. But also my favourite city Deventer is around the corner.
A lovely house in the woods for a maximum of 4 people. Well appointed, tastefully decorated, comfortable and cosy. A perfect base to explore the outdoor living of the Dutch province Drenthe… suitable for all seasons.
Tucked away between ancient olive and fig trees on the Peloponnese you will find this Hideaway. A lovely rural retreat with 4 well appointed rooms and two fully equipped houses. The breakfast is a real treat and the inviting pool is a delight. The appealing city of Nafplio is around the corner, but also the sea and also the best preserved theater from ancient Greece are a stone’s through away. This is a Greek secret… don’t spread the word!
