A fantastic Hideaway right in the middle of the bustling city centre of Mechelen. In a modernist building, Nele found her new passion: running a guesthouse. Only 3 rooms… all slightly different but equally atmospheric with all kinds of vintage finds that Nele carefully combined to create a cosy home. And then Mechelen… what a great city it is! So many nice restaurants, shops, specialty shops and beautiful old buildings, I fell head over heels for it. Important though: “don’t spread the word!”
I visit in Hasselt the beautiful old mansion of Ann and Liesbeth…. Close friends for years, their tasteful boutique hotel is a joint project. The old building is beautiful and breathes the atmosphere of days gone by with contemporary comfort… the rooms are very stylishly decorated with beautiful vintage and fantastic linen pillows and woolen plaids.
