Contemporary city palace Girona

Through my extensive travels, I have found my favourite places in various countries. The Catalan city of Girona is one of those places where I really enjoy myself. It is a small, vibrant city with a rich history and so much to discover in terms of gastronomy. It is still very Spanish and not overrun by tourists, and it is also surrounded by the most beautiful scenery: the spectacular coastline of the Costa Brava and the authentic inland region of Baix Empordá. And last but not least: it is only 40 minutes by train from Barcelona!

The only thing missing in this city was a contemporary luxury hotel, and with the arrival of this fantastic Local Hideaway, that gap has now been filled! The perfect hotel for the discerning traveller who wants to experience the city from a special place that is both authentic and modern.

The hotel is located in the heart of Girona’s lively old town and is housed in an 18th-century city palace. The entrance is a beautiful courtyard where you can have a drink and something to eat (also accessible to non-hotel guests). Much attention has been paid to integrating local materials, unique interior items crafted by artisans from the region and beautiful art objects. This makes this Hideaway “one of a kind” and reinforces the local soul. The rooms are contemporary and very comfortable. There is also a small pool, a spa, a cocktail bar and a rooftop bar.
