A delightful, tranquil spot in the beautiful surroundings of the Baix Empordà. The Catalan city of Girona is one of my personal favourites. It is a small, vibrant city with a rich history and so much to discover in terms of gastronomy. It still has a strong Spanish character and is not overrun by tourists. It is also surrounded by the most beautiful scenery: the spectacular coastline of the Costa Brava and the authentic inland region of Baix Empordá.
The only thing missing in this city was a contemporary luxury hotel, and with the arrival of this fantastic Local Hideaway, that gap has now been filled! It is the perfect hotel for the discerning traveller who wants to experience the city from a special place that is both authentic and modern.
A Local Hideaway with an enormous wow factor! This hidden gem, situated in a picturesque medieval village in the Empordà, absolutely has it! Not surprising because the property is an old Italian palace and still breathes the grandeur and finesse of the wealthy Italian family that once used this house as a country retreat. Now it is proudly owned by the young enterprising Oleguer and Anna and they have transformed the palace into a small modern and luxurious pampering hotel.
