Personally, I find a lovely hotel just outside the hustle and bustle of Marrakech’s old medina to be the best of both worlds. You can seek out the hustle and bustle whenever you want: wander through the narrow streets of the medina, shop till you drop, and soak up all the sights and smells. But you can also retreat to a beautiful tropical oasis with plenty of space, a garden and a swimming pool. And it gets even better, because this fantastic hideaway just outside the city also has a sister hotel in the medina… so you can combine relaxed outdoor living with one or two nights in the city! For when you can’t choose and want to experience both!
And how atmospheric and beautifully decorated this Hideaway is! The garden is a feast for the senses, the rooms are beautiful and have very spacious bathrooms (I love that!). The restaurant is good, so you don’t have to leave the premises in the evening, and for those who enjoy it, they also serve delicious wine or cocktails. There are also two swimming pools, so you can always find a nice spot in the sun or shade, and the spa is highly recommended.
This place is the perfect winter remedy! But it’s also an ideal spot for weddings, retreats or family outings… the layout is such that you can enjoy peace and quiet with your group, and customisation is possible.
