Personally, I find a lovely hotel just outside the hustle and bustle of Marrakech’s old medina to be the best of both worlds. But you can also retreat to a beautiful tropical oasis with plenty of space, a garden and a swimming pool. What a wonderful island Sifnos is… a complete surprise! It still has the right dose of authentic Greek culture, has not yet been discovered by the masses and, fortunately, does not have the same atmosphere as Mykonos (even though this island is only a two-hour boat ride away).
