The Vicentina coast is an absolute gem of a place in South-West Portugal, with its wild and wonderful nature, making it a total paradise for hikers, cyclists, surfers and all you outdoor enthusiasts out there. Surrounded by all this beauty, I found a special Local Hideaway. This beautiful luxury hotel reflects nature in its design, with hushed architecture reminiscent of the clean lines and pisé construction of Morocco, as well as in its tasteful interior. Get ready for the perfect place to step back, still and let nature, wellness and tranquillity awaken your senses… slow travel to the max!
The hotel has an excellent restaurant (ingredients are sourced locally as much as possible), a wonderful pool, a spa with recommended treatments, yoga classes, and plenty of activities in and around the hotel. There are so many amazing hiking and cycling trails just waiting to be explored, and the beaches are just a stone’s throw away! Families are welcome at this hideaway, but it is especially wonderful for couples too! The rooms and suites (some with their own plunge pool!) are fully equipped and wonderfully luxurious. Unfortunately, I was only there for 24 hours, but it was long enough to fall in love with this wonderful place and its great staff! Is this somewhere you’d like to stay?
